The Rice Project
The Matter Foundation Rice project
A lot has been achieved with Sesego Foundation and The Matter Foundation Rice project distributing Manna food packs to many disadvantaged communities. Improving the quality of life of communities includes catering for nutritional needs as a way of contributing to the health and well-being of those living below the poverty-line. Packaged in small pouches, this easy-to-prepare food blend has won rave reviews all over the world. While the formula was designed to save the lives of severely malnourished and starving children, the ingredients also improve the health, growth and physical well-being of children who are no longer in immediate danger of starvation. A team of food scientists continues to monitor the FMSC formula to ensure that it meets nutritional needs of the world’s hungry children. A single bag of food—which provides highly nutritious meals for six children. In many parts of the world, especially Africa, many people live in extreme/absolute poverty where it has been found that sometimes one barely affords to have at least 3 meals a day or if one at all. It is estimated that more than half of the global population growth between now and 2050 will occur in Africa (United Nations, 2018). This therefore illustrates the work that needs to be done to meet this rapid growth and to curb hunger in real-time. One such suggestion to this predicament is this "all-in-one" solution.
