Two heads are better than one, if not more.

Sesego Foundation is proud to have partnered and ventured into a joint project with the Rotary E-Club of District 9400 and Unisa sponsored by the Townships Project of Canada. A 2018 Building Better Businesses Symposium was held at Holiday Inn Express hotel in Pretoria, South Africa. The purpose of the symposium is to identify small business entrepreneurs who can be invested in and mentored towards successful small businesses that contribute to socio-economic development in South Africa. Potential small business owners join current successful entrepreneurs in facilitated conversations aimed to help them excel in business.

There were notable speakers, moderators and facilitators who helped conduct the talks and host the attendees and some identified mentors from these. The count for the last year' symposium had between 100 and 120 interesting entrepreneurs in the making and some with already established businesses. The businesses ranged from day and after care centres, restaurant services, events management, convenience shops, engineering, consultancy and facilitation services, information and technology services, multimedia services as well as import and export services, etc, with very interesting business visions and proposals.

Almost everyone walked away a winner as there were office furniture prizes up for grabs during the course of the symposium. Everyone also had the chance to apply for a cash prize that was to be awarded to the one individual who would provide written proof of progress towards a tangible goal aimed at developing their business three months post-symposium. Congratulations to the R20 000 prize winner who walked away with the cash prize last month.

The plans to host the upcoming symposium are already underway. Don't miss out on Building Better Businesses Symposium 2019!
