Sesego energising communities

The sun is the last energy source that is not owned by anyone and has many advantages. Solar energy systems are also a technically viable solution to delivering energy to isolated rural communities and cost-effective to urban communities. Interestingly, small amounts of energy can make a tremendous difference, making it possible to improve many lives, enhance agricultural productivity and create new opportunities (like solar sewing) to earn income. Sesego is therefore proud that the foundation engages entrepreneurs in solar sewing. The harvesting of renewable clean power that is available every day of the year, even cloudy days produce some power and the extra light allows women and even men to perform activities such as sewing. Sesego Foundation has come together with other entities in humanitarian work such as Le Fleur under the guidance and support of founding member Robyn Le Roux, producing many inspirational garments.

The use of this solar energy offers potential for natural resource and climate protection, and for the expansion of renewable energies while opening up the creation of employment opportunities that impact social change.
